January 2020 The Arrow Fund received a phone call about a dog that had been shot in the face. We said yes as we knew we had to help him. Unfortunately we could not save his vision but that has not stopped him from having an amazing life. See the update below on Ranger as he is now known.
Ranger is doing fantastic and continues to amaze me every day. While I was pregnant, he was extra close to me and followed me everywhere. The countless trips to the bathroom in the night, he was up walking with me to the bathroom, waiting, and walking back to bed with me. When I was working in the nursery, he would lay on the rug in the baby’s room and patiently wait for me to fold clothes and organize. He is the gentle giant and still the most loving dog. He is loving his life on the farm and thoroughly enjoys his walks where he can run through the field and dig for moles. Him and his sister (German shepherd Lu Lu) like to play, wrestle, and steal toys from each other when the other is not paying attention. I have attached a picture of Ranger with all the bones, making sure his sister didn’t have any lol

Did you hear on Wave 3 Listens Live Studio today with Brian Shlonsky that Noble Funk Brewing Company named a craft beer for the Paw-tay after The Arrow Fund’s adoptable rescue, Bella?!!
It’s called “BellaBerry Papaya Sour”! (See photo of happy Bella looking at her honorary brew.)
Bella’s story: a Good Samaritan noticed Bella, severely emaciated and about to give birth, on the cold, concrete floor of a rural shelter; Bella had no blankets or bed for her or her pups. The Samaritan transported Bella to The Arrow Fund for emergency medical and foster care.
Today, Bella is thriving, healthy, and looking for her forever home!
We hope you’ll come order this yummy beer (and others!) in honor of our rescues at the Furry Derby Paw-tay on April 27th.
